Wellness Consultations:
With all the health-building services offered at Bridge to Better Health,
there are times when you need to review your options, formulate a plan, or learn
a new perspective. Other types of sessions may not have sufficient time for all of your
questions, or maybe the depth of your questions goes beyond the
scope of that appointment. With our services crossing over between
emotional and physical health, that isn't out of the ordinary!
The Wellness Consultation is our way of dedicating time for you to get your
questions answered and your plans formulated -- to spend our time together in a
way you feel would be most helpful.
Sherri answers questions about
Wellness Consultations:
What is a Wellness Consultation?
A Wellness Consultation creates the opportunity to plan,
ask and learn. This is the appointment that can cover a wide variety of
general topics in a very specific way.
Feelings of frustration and defeat can set in when we are
in a transition, letting go of old thoughts or learning new things, and
implementing new habits can be challenging. Wellness Consultations are the
time we set aside to talk about ways to make your transition smoother.
Here are some topics that could be covered in a session:
- A couple is planning their pregnancy and they are
interested in ways to prepare for that physically and emotionally
- A woman plans to nurse her baby and would like to know how diet,
nutrition and herbs can help or suppress breastfeeding
- A mother wants to know how to help her elementary-aged son focus on
learning in school
- A realtor wants to have more energy during the day
- A woman wants to lose weight before her high school reunion
-
A middle age man is struggling with symptoms associated
with high blood pressure
- A young woman's mood swings are getting in the way of
her relationships at home and at work
Situations like these are multi-faceted and for the most
effective turnaround, they require a multi-faceted approach to wellness. A
one-hour Iridology session or a 90 minute QRA session isn't the place to
formulate this kind of plan, but a Wellness Consultation is.
In a Wellness Consultation, Sherri draws on her training and
experience to make health recommendations in a wide variety of topics tailored to your
needs. All recommendations are given for
education and health-promoting purposes
and they may include things Sherri can help you with or they may involve
practitioners with other skills.
These sessions are brainstorming sessions to help you get where you'd like to
be.

Why would I get a
Wellness Consultation?
This may sound like a silly question for some people, but
it's a good question to ask! Why do people get consultations for anything?
People consult with a landscape designer when they need
help planning the layout of certain plants. Couples ask wedding planners
to help them implement a smooth wedding, and lifestyle coaches are hired to help
people get to the next level in their professional lives. Wellness
Consultations can help you solidify your health goals, formulate a plan of
direction, and, depending on what you need, offer the support and
accountability to help you with your progress.
Maybe you have questions like these:
- What could be contributing factors affecting this
situation in my life?
- What natural therapies, or health-building practice is available
that I might not be aware of?
- What do I do first?
- How can I pace myself so I don't get overwhelmed?
Wellness Consultations are smart ways to take your whole health to another
level.

What happens in an Wellness
Consultation?
I encourage
everyone to schedule a Wellness Consultation.
Stephen Covey recommends us to
"begin with the end in mind." In other words, think about where you'd like
to end up and work backwards from there to see how you can make choices that
will help you reach your goal.
As you think about your ideal health and the
things you'd like to do to get there, ask yourself questions like, Do I need
help with any steps along the way?, Are there
things about this process I don't understand?, and What areas do I feel
least qualified in? These are the kinds of questions that can turn
into excellent sessions.
And, these can be scheduled for phone sessions, which may be more
convenient for you.
These consultations allow you to:
- Talk about topics that are important to you
- Schedule one time or multiple times depending on your needs
- Ask Sherri general questions about health
- Get a specific set of recommendations that you can follow
You might be interested in topics such as:
- Meal planning ideas
- What to substitute for artificial sweeteners or bad fats in your diet
- Where to find organic foods for less
- Which personal care products you're currently using that may not be
health-supporting
- And more

You'll put me on a diet, right?
Wellness sessions are structured around your concerns. If you are
troubled about a health issue and I know of nutritional suggestions that might
help, I'll make those recommendations and you can decide which ones to follow
through on.
Some situations would benefit from a special diet, but you might be surprised
to see what other simple adjustments could be recommended for your situation.
If you have resistance to changing habits or diet, you might consider an EFT
session. Sometimes we know something would be better for us, but we can't
seem to do what we need to do. EFT is phenomenal at helping this turn
around.

Can’t I get what I need
from my food?
Since
2002, at least four studies conducted by the United State’s Center for Disease
Control report that most foods grown in the US contain only 50% of the
antioxidants it had just 25 years ago!
Food grown in depleted soil does not
provide adequate vitamins, minerals and antioxidants we need to help us deal
with the influx of free-radicals in our system. Is it any wonder why people
suffer from asthma, fibromyalgia, allergies, weak joints and muscles,
Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ALS, MS, blood sugar disorder, and more?
Most symptoms that we struggle with will lessen in intensity as we make
healthier choices with our foods and attitudes. Many people experience
faster recovery when they add supplements to their routine rather than using
food alone.

Aren't all supplements the same?
No, all supplements aren't the same. Supplements can have fillers,
binders, color additives and other things that in the long term, aren't good for
your health. I'm frustrated by these things and at the companies that take
advantage of your trust.
When you come to me for recommendations, you want my ideas on how you can see a
change in your specific situation. In some
cases, a particular brand may
not matter but in most cases, I recommend a certain supplement that I've spent
time researching. I don't just research the type of supplement that might
be helpful. I work with companies that have history, integrity, and good
results.
Understand, the good results I'm looking for are based on the products and
companies I recommend.

Details of a Wellness Consultation?
