Emotional Freedom:
Imagine the kind of life you
could live
if
pain or fear didn't hold you back.
Research shows that more than 85% of all illness
is caused from
underlying emotional issues.
That statement is important! If this is true, then those dark, negative
emotional areas in our life may be the instigating cause in the physical
symptoms we struggle with.
- Do you have areas of your life where you are fearful, feel stuck or paralyzed?
- Do you constantly feel stressed out or overwhelmed?
- Are you holding grief, sadness, resentment or anger?
- When someone compliments you, do you discount it and imply that you
aren't worth it?
- Do you say things like, "I'll never get that
promotion," or "I'm always screwing up something."
- Do you ever react to a situations
in an "over-the-top" emotional way while other people don't?
According to Dr. Oz, unresolved emotional and
spiritual issues, such as a broken heart, depression, anger or a lack of
fulfillment, can physically affect your heart.
Some well recognized medical doctors such as Dr. Norman Shealy, MD, Christiane Northrup, MD,
Andrew Weil, MD, Deepak Chopra, MD and a growing group of others, see a
connection between long-lasting emotions and physical conditions. (For a list of
doctors who study and speak on this mind-body connection, visit our Helpful
Links page on this website.
At Bridge to Better Health, we also see the connection. Sherri Lund has
advanced training to help clients address their issues from multiple directions.
A physical condition can and very often does effect the emotions or mental
health of a person and an emotional or mental condition can and very often does
affect the physical body.
There may be feelings of anger or frustration, thoughts of "why me?," or the
temptation to just give in. In chronic health conditions, these negative
thoughts may hinder your recovery. Some people, such as Norman Cousins and Evy
McDonald saw that it was only after addressing emotional issues that their
health started to turn around. Emotions play a critical part in well-being.
With EFT, clients can step out of negative thoughts, resentments, and other
heavy emotions that may be at the root of their physical condition.

What is Emotional Freedom?
Here
are some examples of emotional freedom:
-
Someone enjoying the view
over the Grand Canyon ledge when before they would not have even planned the
trip because their fear was so great.
-
Someone who has been afraid
of new situations can now go on a job interview without experiencing sweaty palms and
and a nauseous stomach.
-
Someone can
think about a troublesome or traumatic memory and not feel the negative charge that used to
come.
-
Someone with a terminal
illness is at peace, free of resentment, unforgiveness, anger, etc, and able
to enjoy their relationships. They are often more "alive" than fully
functional, so called healthy people.

What is EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is exciting people all around the world with its
remarkable results. Gary Craig, the now-famous founder
of EFT, says that,
"EFT is the missing piece to the healing puzzle."
EFT works on removing blockages that disrupt the
body's energy systems, similar to acupuncture but without the needles.
Simply put, there are specific points on the surface of your body that
you tap with your fingers. It is easy to learn and once you have, you can use
it
anywhere, anytime you need to.
Counselors, therapists, naturopaths, dentists, chiropractors,
physicians, and other health practitioners are learning and incorporating EFT
into their practice because of the fast, remarkable results it creates.
For more detailed information, Sherri Lund has created another website,
www.ExperienceBreakthrough.com.

Are there limitations?
EFT doesn't work 100% of the time
but estimates show that beginner EFT practitioners may
have a success rate up to 80% of the time and more advanced practitioners can have success rates as high as 95%. Sherri Lund
is an advanced practitioner and EFT instructor.
EFT does not claim to cure specific conditions, but it obviously and
dramatically can help in managing symptoms, as
countless people testify on the EFT website,
www.emofree.com. Oftentimes, people with chronic disease feel
angry, guilty, worthless, depressed, and fearful. EFT has beautifully
dissolved these feelings, often bringing relief in one session.
Some conditions may require a more trained practitioner. In these cases, you
may be referred to another EFT practitioner who is also trained as a
specialist in another area.

What are the session
details?
Initial sessions are scheduled for 90 minutes, follow-up sessions are an
hour.
We recommend you plan on at
least 3 sessions for most issues. In the first session, we get to know each
other and you learn the basics of EFT. 90% of Sherri Lund's clients have
pleasantly been surprised at the breakthroughs in this first session. However,
once we get beyond the first session and get to know each other more, things can
really shift!
These sessions are $100 per hour. There are money-saving packages available
when you purchase three sessions at a time.

Want to learn more?
EFT
is a key that unlocks areas of emotional healing and it has become an important
part of my practice. As my clients address their physical condition with EFT,
they notice their symptoms lightening and sometimes going away altogether. On
the other hand, if they believe their situation is related to an emotional
trauma or event, as they experience breakthrough in that area, they feel lighter and seem more motivated in taking care of themselves.
Negative emotions can affect all areas of our lives: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual,
financial, professional, educational, etc. We have much to discover about the
inner-connectedness of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of
our body!
Because the connection between the mind and body is so important and there's much to say and learn on this topic, Sherri has
created www.ExperienceBreakthrough.com.
I often teach classes involving EFT. Click

Disclaimer: The EFT work done at Bridge to Better Health can provide
relief from a number of issues, and can be wonderfully beneficial as a
complementary therapy.
Although EFT has no
known side-effects, it has been known to
bring peace of mind, relaxation, a brighter outlook, better health, more energy, focus,
and greater self-esteem. It has also been successful at relieving stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and
a multitude of other ailments and issues. However,
it has only been
used in its current form since 1992, and thus is still considered to be in the
experimental stage. Therefore, people using EFT need to take responsibility for
their use of it. Sherri Lund is neither a psychotherapist nor a
licensed physician. She does, however, care greatly about the health and
well-being
of her clients. Certain issues should be addressed by qualified
professionals. Those who want to discuss a specific problem with a professional
in the health field are referred to
www.emofree.org, where you can find a
listing of licensed and unlicensed practitioners who use EFT in their
practices. Thank you for considering
what is best for your physical and emotional well-being. Often results are
realized from EFT that have not been achieved through other methods or
therapies.
